Letter from the Editor
hello!
DEAR
READER
H
ow is it that we are in December already?
Since the last time I wrote to you, I ran my first ultra marathon, rode in a hot air balloon in Sedona, took a trip to Universal Studios and have begun the process of setting intentions for 2025.
For many, December brings with it both cheer and a nagging foreboding. As of the date this edition drops, there will still be 26 days left in the year. It’s an opportunity for you to decide how you want to spend it. Have you wrapped up your goals from 2024 and are leaning into time with family, friends or much needed solo disconnection? Or, perhaps, are you going through the motions on the outside but feeling burnt out and disappointed that somehow, yet again, you are not where you thought you would be?
This magazine is my love letter to you.
It’s totally okay to be in either place. If you find yourself in the latter camp, I urge you to give yourself some grace. As humans, we are not biologically wired to lean into change. In fact, our brains and bodies are invested in keeping us the same. After years of outer achievements that didn’t feed my inner environment, I was tired of reaching year end feeling like I had, yet again, gone in a big circle. That’s when I decided that “good enough was no longer good enough” and it was time for a change.
This issue is dedicated to that change process. The process of Reinvention. The content inside is meant to inspire you to redefine what’s possible in your life. To go after the life you know you were meant to live. As Mary Oliver said, “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”
Let’s get started.
